The rules of fair play
What you may and may not do with your PlaySafe ID and in PlaySafe Protected games and services. This policy works alongside our Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Retention Schedule, and the rules of each game you play in. By creating or using a PlaySafe ID you agree to it. Each game keeps its own rules too: this policy does not replace them.
What you must not do
IDENTITY AND VERIFICATION
No false identities. Do not verify using someone else's identity document, a forged or altered document, or anyone's likeness but your own.
No multiple accounts. Do not create, or attempt to create, more than one PlaySafe ID.
No circumvention. If a penalty applies to your PlaySafe ID, do not attempt to evade it: not by creating a new account, not by verifying with different documents, not by using someone else's account.
No trading in accounts. Do not sell, buy, rent, share, or transfer a PlaySafe ID, and do not create accounts for others to use. A PlaySafe ID belongs to one verified person and cannot change hands.
FAIR PLAY
No cheating. Do not use cheats, unauthorised software or hardware, automation, bots, scripts, or exploits to gain an unfair advantage in a PlaySafe Protected game.
No competition or market manipulation. Do not cheat in matches or events involving prizes, wagers or betting markets, and do not manipulate match outcomes.
No real-money-trading operations. Do not run or participate in commercial operations selling in-game goods, currency, boosting, or accounts where the game prohibits it.
PROTECTING PEOPLE
Nothing that harms children. No grooming, no sexual content involving minors, no sexual conduct directed at minors, no attempts to move contact with a minor to private channels for improper purposes. This category is enforced with zero tolerance and, where the law requires, reported to the authorities.
No fraud. No payment fraud, chargeback abuse, phishing, social engineering, or deception aimed at players, games, or PlaySafe.
No illegal content or conduct. Nothing that breaks the law, including terrorist content and material supporting proscribed organisations.
THE SERVICE ITSELF
No interference. Do not probe, scan, or test the security of PlaySafe systems without written permission, attempt to access other users' data, disrupt the service, or scrape it.
No misuse of reporting. Do not knowingly submit false reports about other players.
What happens if you break these rules
Penalties are issued on the basis of reports and evidence from the games and communities where the conduct happened, assessed against our evidence standards. A penalty applies to your PlaySafe ID: the verified identity, not just one game account, which is what makes it meaningful.
The consequences are set out in the Penalties section of our Terms of Service and in our published Retention Schedule, including: the offence categories and how long each type of record is kept; the rule that a penalty on any profile in a family account applies to all members of the family; escalation for repeat offences (a third penalty within any rolling 36-month period upgrades the classification); and what remains on record if you ask for your data to be deleted while a penalty is active.
Who can hold a PlaySafe ID
You can verify your own PlaySafe ID from age 13. Children aged 7 to 12 can be added as profiles under a parent's or guardian's verified account and never complete verification themselves. Parents are told before adding a child profile that a penalty on any family profile applies to all members of the family.
See something? Report it
If you see conduct that breaks these rules, report it in the game where it happened, using that game's reporting tools. For conduct involving PlaySafe's own platform or services, contact contact@playsafeid.com. If a child is at immediate risk, contact your local police first.

We may update this policy as the service and the law evolve. The current version always lives at this page, and material changes are notified through the service.
