As the data controller, PlaySafe ID are committed to processing your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
It is important that the personal data you provide to us is accurate and up-to-date. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the personal data you submit to us and to not provide us with personal data if you are located in a country that prohibits the transfer of such data outside of that country.
By providing your personal data, you confirm that:
The information you have supplied is accurate, complete, and not misleading; and
You are not in a country subject to legal restrictions that prevent the transfer of your personal data to us for processing outside your country.
If you are unsure about the personal data transfer laws in your country, we recommend seeking independent legal advice before submitting your personal data.
For more information about how we process your personal data, please see our privacy policy here: User privacy policy and Developer privacy policy
Additionally, PlaySafe ID are the Data Controller for all verifications and KYC data. Games that integrate us (publishers, developers, etc), are using us as a DMP/Auth provider. They are not responsible for, or involved in, the verification process or any PII or sensitive data. Additionally, they (the games/publishers/developers/etc) do not receive any of the data from the verification process. They only receive a random and anonymised PlaySafe ID with the status of if that PlaySafe ID can play or not.
Both PlaySafe ID and Onfido/Entrust do everything in our power to correctly process your data, including the rejection of verifications from users in regions where the processing of their data would not be lawful. With that said, it is the responsibility of users to not obfuscate their location if that location is one in which it has law, regulation or policy that makes it unlawful for us to process your data. PlaySafe ID, Onfido/Entrust, and/or the game developers/publishers that integrate us are not responsible for users intentionally bypassing our measures to prevent them signing up or using our platform if the user intentionally obfuscates their location or uses other means to create an account when they otherwise shouldn’t.
