What a PlaySafe ID is
A PlaySafe ID is a pseudo-anonymised proof to integrated games that you are a trusted, unique, and accountable player. You go through a zero-knowledge verification, your data is deleted, then your PlaySafe ID connects to games.
PSID does not replace your game accounts. It sits alongside them as a layer of accountability. Studios that integrate can see you've verified, trusted, and if you have a penalty for cheating. They cannot see who you are or any of your data.
30+ years of cat and mouse has proved that cheating is not just a tech problem. Anti-cheat does an amazing job, but account bans, IP bans, and hardware ID bans are all easily worked around. When real consequences exist, fewer people cheat. The ones caught are truly kept out. Games get more fun, people play more, and everyone enjoys themselves more. We've already proved it.
We believe in secure accounts
When your PlaySafe ID is linked to your accounts, you become the only person who can prove ownership. Hijackers cannot just change the recovery email or call support to take it. They would need to be you.
You're verified, but pseudo-anonymised. Just a representation that you're real. Most identity products want to know everything about you. We just want to know that you're a real, unique person, and that you haven't been caught cheating. We don't care about anything else.
What is a PlaySafe ID?
Your PlaySafe ID is an anonymised, unique ID, generated when you prove you're a real person. It is your key to access PlaySafe Protected environments. No one can see who you are, but your PlaySafe ID is tied to you as an individual.
Signing up for a PlaySafe ID is opting into a pool of trusted, verified players who've all agreed to play fair. When someone gets caught cheating, hacking, or botting, it's not just an account that gets banned, but them as a person via their PlaySafe ID.
PlaySafe Protected matchmaking is entirely optional; but for players tired of running into the same cheaters on repeat, it's a space where gaming integrity matters and accountability can't be sidestepped with a new account.
