There has never been a solution to prevent users who are inappropriate to children or who cheat/hack from creating a new email, a new game account, and being back in and playing in a few minutes.

Instant bans don’t keep people out, and they give info to cheat devs. Ban-waves are the better solution, but they subject players to 3-6 months of cheating, which sucks. And, they don’t keep people bad-actors out.

PlaySafe ID overview:

PlaySafe ID is an anonymous & random ID assigned to a user once they have verified their identity through our zero-knowledge KYC and age estimation checks. Additionally, anyone caught cheating, hacking, botting, or grooming children in any game has their PlaySafe ID marked forever.

By creating a set of matchmaking only for users with a valid PlaySafe ID, you’re providing an environment for the majority of players who want a fair, fun, and safe gaming experience free of cheaters, hackers, bots, and bad-actors.

PlaySafe ID is the only solution that can keep predators and bad-actors away from children. Any user caught cheating or being inappropriate to children has their ID marked forever, and they’ll be unable to play with with valid PlaySafe ID users again.

This ensures a zero repeat offender rate, and ensures that children are safe and free to explore and enjoy your game, with far fewer risks of bad actors looking to reach out, groom, or take advantage of them.

How to integrate

  • Click here to view our documentation

  • Add SSO so users can connect their PSID to your game. This can be done easily via a button on your client.

  • You will have the user's PlaySafe ID from the SSO.

    Call GET: Valid ID on matchmaking.

    We will return TRUE or FALSE.

    If TRUE, let them matchmake and play. If FALSE, don't let them matchmake. It's that simple.

  • We accept detections from Easy, BattlEye, VAC, and PunkBuster. Additionally, anything you detect internally can be sent to us.

    Simply forward the payload you receive from your detection partner via our POST: Detection/Violation API.

    We then combine the trust score of the account, the context of the game, the status code of the detection, the payload of evidence, and make a decision as to if a penalty should be issued.

    If we do issue a blacklist to the offending PlaySafe ID, they will be rendered unable to rejoin PlaySafe ID protected matchmaking in any game.

  • Enable an option for users to choose from your standard matchmaking, or to opt for PlaySafe Protected matchmaking. (We recommend a toggle).

    Copy your existing matchmaking logic and add one additional filter: Valid PSID = TRUE.

  • Free for studios and developers.

    Currently we are free for everyone, and in the future we will be billing users $2.50 a month for their PlaySafe ID (which they can use across all integrated games and services).

    We will only turn on billing for users once we have enough game integrations and the value for money is there for the user.

    Gamers have stated they'd gladly pay $2.50 a month to have cheater free games, and parents are more than happy to pay $2.50 to ensure predators and bad-actors can't get to their children while they're gaming.
